can not stop socket.io connect from android client.

I have tried:

if (mSocket != null) {
    mSocket.io().reconnection(false);
    mSocket.io().reconnectionAttempts(1);
    mSocket.disconnect();
    mSocket.off();
    mSocket.io().off();
    mSocket = null;
}


but this doesn't work
