Why does my browsersync always run on 3001?

my browsersync always run on 3001, even i manually change it to 3000, broswersync will automatically use 3001.

Other ports works ok such as 3008 (as i said above, i manually change)

I suspect some apps/process is using my 3000,

And then i used below commands to check who is using my 3000:

netstat -vanp tcp | grep 3000

lsof -i tcp:3000

Then i found this app:

This is an app i installed last year for testing multi touch overlay.

it is using 3000 and it can automatically restart after i killed it.

so i have to find the supplier and run their uninstall program.

and now my browsersync can run on 3000.

Summary:

Browsersync will automatically use 3000, but if it is in use by other process, then it will try 30001.
